Digital qual certainly isn’t a new concept in the world of market research, but it is one that continues to evolve and have bigger implications for us as researchers. That’s why, in September 2017, we ran two breakfast seminars (London and Leeds) for our clients called ‘The Transformation of Digital Qual’, covering a range of issues related to the world of digital qual.
After some coffee and breakfast nibbles, we started to talk our clients through why digital is having such an impact on the world of qualitative research, what it can deliver and how to best deliver it. The interactive session gave our clients the opportunity to ask any burning questions they had, as well as bust a few myths about the world of digital techniques.
During the seminar, we explored how various digital tools (e.g. online communities, apps) can be used to access rich consumer insight and increase stakeholder involvement in brand development, innovation and comms research. We also shared some of the many success stories we have at RDSi from using digital methodologies, and explored what we consider to be best practise when it comes to actually doing digital research.
By the end of the seminar, we were able to directly address and alleviate our clients’ concerns about digital, giving them the knowledge and confidence to know when and how to best use digital qual methodologies.
